Black Sugar is an 80% indica strain that develops a round, bushy structure with strong lower branches. It has a short flowering time, a good yield and a typically indica effect. It is a 3-way cross of Black Domina x L.A OG x Critical.
This plant grows well outdoors as well as indoors due to its robust nature. Its range of cultivability is quite large due to the short flowering period - it is ready to harvest in the northern hemisphere at the end of September or early October at the very latest. In this environment it can grow to be 250 - 300 cm. tall with yields of 800 gr/plant. Indoors flowering will only take 50 - 55 days with superb yields of 600 gr/m2.
Black Sugar has a very fruity lemon and orange taste with pronounced skunk notes. THC levels are very high with low CBD giving an effect that is powerfully narcotic and an exceptional strain with which to relax and do nothing but dream.
Strain FAQ
Any Black Domina challenges?
Black Domina is hardy and durable, and is said to be a common choice for both beginners and experts. It is said to require special care to thrive and needs a regulated environment with consistent light, temperature, and humidity.
Is it all just about the High THC content and nothing else?
No! Even though THC is the most commonly known psychoactive element within the cannabis plant, even THC heavyweights don't just have strength. It is said that other cannabinoids and terpenes complement THC to create the strain's particular flavour. Due to their chemical makeup, it is well known that two strains with comparable THC amounts may have quite distinct experiences.
Why do strains ready by the end of September mature quickly?
These strains mature quickly due to genetic adaptations from cooler, northern parent strains. This mix of genetics speeds up flowering and maturation, leaving them complete just in time for autumn.
Does everyone smell skunk?
Skunk smell sensitivities interestingly vary widely. Different olfactory sensitivity can make the fragrance too powerful or off-putting, yet others like its richness and depth.
Do short-flowering strains save energy?
Absolutely. Since these plants are known to harvest faster, they need less energy for lighting, ventilation, and other equipment. These strains save indoor legal producers a lot of energy, making them more sustainable and affordable.
