This specimen is the survivor from when the US Government sprayed certain Mexican cultivations with crop killer, in order to mitigate drug trafficking. One surviving batch of this marijuana happened to have some seeds inside. These seeds were used in order to achieve a mighty clone of Malverde aka Mexican Survivor, which had been preserved for ages in the Michoacan region.
Malverde has a sweet taste to the palate mixed with a spicy touch reminiscent of tequila. You can get high fast and quickly. Everyone loves this marijuana from the very beginning, so it is usual to end up smoking more and more of it.
This is a medium sized plant, however its branching is not particularly dense so it will be possible to find its tips full of buds. We strongly recommend this plant is topped and pinched, in order to realise its optimal performance & yields. Its indoor performance is very satisfactory when using lights, reaching its apogee in about 9 weeks. Outdoor cultivations have a surprisingly nice performance.
Strain FAQ
Do any particular terpenes contribute to the sweet flavour?
The terpene Pinene, recognised for its crisp, piney aroma, can reportedly sweeten a cannabis strain. Alpha- and beta-pinene add richness to the strain's multi-layered sweetness.
Are IBL strains helping preserve traditional cannabis strains?
IBL strains help preserve legacy or landrace strains, which have evolved to adapt to certain geographical settings over centuries. IBLs of these heritage strains can preserve their genetic profiles and features, protecting valuable genetics in a hybridised market.
Can high-yielding strains adapt to different climates?
Indeed, many of these strains are known to adapt well to a great range of various climates. Breeding ingenuity has created hybrids that reportedly thrive in chilly northern regions and warm, humid tropical conditions.
What distinguishes strains that are ready to harvest by end-of-October?
Cannabis strains that finish by October are designed for the Northern Hemisphere. They mature before November's winter weather, giving them a shorter time to completion.
How do feminized cannabis strains work?
A particular breeding method removes male chromosomes from feminised cannabis plants. Feminised seeds result in plants that are nearly always female (99%) and ready to produce THC and CBD-rich buds. It works like magic to give producers flower-producing plants!
